I have collaborated closely with legislators, formerly elected officials, and their families to support community outreach and strengthen local connections. I’ve directly served residents by delivering water to seniors during floods and power outages and partnered with organizations to distribute food throughout Maryland during the pandemic. That work has given me the opportunity to connect personally with people in my community.
With over 25 years of campaigning for Democratic candidates, I have actively supported Maryland campaigns and voter outreach efforts, earning Maryland House of Delegates scholarships for my commitment to advocacy through the electoral process.
I worked in partnership with neighbors and their local council members, the Health Department, and local inspectors to bring ecological improvements to the greater Patapsco River areas waterways, ensuring these tributaries deliver cleaner water to the Baltimore Harbor and Chesapeake Bay.
My service includes roles on the University of Maryland Alumni Philanthropy Housing Advisory Board and Howard County Association of Realtors Fair Housing, Legislative, and Leadership Committees, where I helped with volunteer initiatives, advocated for homeowner financial relief legislation, and supported amendments to the current bills and introduced ideas for new legislation. I have also mentored real estate agents and provided pro bono services to teachers, veterans, first responders, and community members.
My commitment to justice led me to advocate for federal criminal justice reform during my time with the Pre-Law Society and I actively support Maryland’s bipartisan bills supporting the Just Why and other movements. These experiences reflect my dedication to public service, community empowerment, and meaningful policy change.
